How to Make Greek Style Grilled Octopus
- In a large pot, combine water and sea salt. Gently simmer the octopus for 45–60 minutes until tender.
- Transfer the octopus to a plate and let it rest about 10 minutes. Once cooled, slice between the joints into even pieces.
- In a bowl, whisk olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, and cracked black pepper. Add octopus pieces and toss to coat. Marinate for 15–20 minutes.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, around 400°F. Oil the grates to prevent sticking.
- Place marinated octopus pieces on hot grates. Grill for about 3–4 minutes per side until charred.
- Transfer grilled octopus to a serving platter and let it rest 2–3 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley and add lemon wedges.
