How to Make Melted Snowman Cookies
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk dry ingredients by combining all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream butter by beating unsalted butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Add wet ingredients by mixing in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Combine dry and wet mixtures on low speed until just blended.
  6. Shape dough into 12 equal balls (about 2 tbsp each) and space them 2 inches apart on sheets.
  7. Press marshmallows gently into the center of each dough ball.
  8. Top with candy: add two chocolate chips for eyes and an orange candy piece for the carrot nose.
  9. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden and marshmallows puff.
  10. Decorate once slightly cooled using black icing or edible marker.
