Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F and position a rack in the middle. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out your bread dough into a 12×16-inch rectangle, about ¼ inch thick.
- In a small saucepan over low heat, melt 6 tablespoons of unsalted butter with minced garlic, Italian herbs, and parsley until fragrant.
- Generously brush the warm herb-garlic butter over the entire surface of the dough.
- Evenly sprinkle shredded mozzarella, cheddar, and dollops of cream cheese over the buttered dough, leaving a ½-inch border.
- Starting from the long side, tightly roll the dough into a log. Press seam side down and cut into nine equal 1½-inch pieces.
- Place the nine dough pieces on the prepared sheet in rows of 1, 2, 3, and 3, forming a Christmas tree shape.
- Bake at 375°F for 20–25 minutes until golden brown on top and bubbly.
- Let the pull-apart tree rest for 5 minutes, then sprinkle with grated Parmesan and fresh parsley.
- Transfer to a serving board and serve warm.
