How to Make Roasted Parmesan Green Beans
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment or foil.
- Rinse and pat dry 1 pound fresh green beans, then snip off stem ends.
- In a large bowl, drench the beans with 1 tablespoon olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
- Spread the seasoned green beans in a single layer on the prepared sheet pan.
- Bake at 425°F for 12–15 minutes until beans turn bright green.
- In a small bowl, stir together ½ cup grated Parmesan, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, and zest from 1 lemon.
- Remove beans from oven and dust them with the Parmesan mixture. Press lightly so it adheres.
- Broil for 1–2 minutes until the Parmesan turns bubbly and golden brown. Watch closely.
- Transfer beans to a serving platter, sprinkle with optional garnishes, and serve warm.
