How to Make Roasted Parmesan Green Beans
  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment or foil.
  2. Rinse and pat dry 1 pound fresh green beans, then snip off stem ends.
  3. In a large bowl, drench the beans with 1 tablespoon olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Spread the seasoned green beans in a single layer on the prepared sheet pan.
  5. Bake at 425°F for 12–15 minutes until beans turn bright green.
  6. In a small bowl, stir together ½ cup grated Parmesan, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, and zest from 1 lemon.
  7. Remove beans from oven and dust them with the Parmesan mixture. Press lightly so it adheres.
  8. Broil for 1–2 minutes until the Parmesan turns bubbly and golden brown. Watch closely.
  9. Transfer beans to a serving platter, sprinkle with optional garnishes, and serve warm.
