Preparation Steps
- Combine flour, sugar, and salt with chilled butter until mixture resembles coarse meal.
- Gradually sprinkle ice water, mixing gently until dough clings together.
- Divide dough into two disks, wrap tightly, and chill for at least 30 minutes.
- Toss sliced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch until coated.
- Roll one dough disk into a 12-inch circle and transfer to a 9-inch pie pan.

- Roll the second disk into a rectangle, cut into strips, and weave over the filling.
