- 1 small head of cabbage, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes (adjust to taste)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat the Oil
Start by heating 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. - Sauté the Garlic
Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until it becomes fragrant. Be careful not to burn it as garlic can quickly turn bitter. - Add the Vegetables
Toss in the chopped cabbage, sliced bell pepper, and julienned carrot. Stir-fry these vegetables for 5-7 minutes. You’ll know they’re ready when they become tender yet still retain a slight crunch. - Prepare the Sauce
In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, honey (or maple syrup), and chili flakes. Adjust the amount of chili flakes according to your heat preference. - Combine and Cook
Pour the prepared sauce over the stir-fried vegetables. Stir well to ensure all the veggies are coated with the sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes to let the flavors meld. - Season and Serve
