Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup vegetable broth
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Heat the Oil: In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Sauté the Aromatics: Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot. Sauté until they become soft and translucent, releasing a fragrant aroma.
- Cook the Turkey: Add the ground turkey to the pot. Cook until it’s browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks.
- Season the Meat: Stir in the chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well to ensure the turkey is evenly coated with the spices.
- Add the Main Ingredients: Incorporate the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, and vegetable broth into the pot. Stir everything together to combine.
- Simmer: Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer. Allow the chili to cook for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
