Sour Cream Beef Noodle Casserole recipe

  • 1 lb ground beef (substitute with ground turkey or chicken if desired)
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1 cup sour cream (use Greek yogurt as an alternative)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (your choice)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef with the diced onion until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  4. In a large bowl, mix the cooked beef, noodles, sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and top with shredded cheese.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired before serving.
