Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures that your stuffing bakes evenly and achieves a delightful golden-brown crust.
  2. Cook the Sausage: In a skillet, cook the turkey sausage over medium heat. As it cooks, crumble the sausage with a spoon until it’s browned, which should take about 6-7 minutes. Once cooked, drain the excess fat and set the sausage aside.
  3. Sauté the Vegetables: Using the same skillet, add the chopped celery and onion. Sauté them until they’re tender and aromatic, which should take around 3-4 minutes.
  4. Warm the Milk: In a separate saucepan, gently heat the milk until it’s warm but not boiling. This step ensures that the milk integrates smoothly with the other ingredients.
  5. Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, sautéed vegetables, warm milk, dried bread cubes, eggs, minced parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well combined, ensuring that the bread cubes are evenly coated.
  6. Transfer to Baking Dish: Grease a 2-quart baking dish and transfer the stuffing mixture into it. Cover the dish with a lid or aluminum foil to retain moisture during baking.
