Pineapple Beef Stir Fry recipe

  • Author: Sophia

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 lb beef strips: Choose tender cuts like sirloin or flank steak for a quicker cooking time.
  • 2 cups pineapple chunks: Fresh or canned, make sure they’re bite-sized.
  • 1 bell pepper (sliced): Any color will do, but red or yellow adds a nice sweetness.
  • 1 cup broccoli florets: Provides a healthy crunch and vibrant color.
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced): Enhances the overall flavor.
  • 1 inch ginger (grated): Adds a zesty kick.
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce: For that classic umami taste.
  • 2 tbsp honey: To balance the savory and sweet flavors.
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil: For sautéing.
  • Salt and pepper to taste: Enhances the flavors of the dish.
  • Cooked rice: For serving alongside the stir fry.

Instructions

  1. Heat the Oil
Begin by heating 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Cook the Beef
Add the 1 lb of beef strips to the pan. Cook them until they are browned on all sides. Once done, remove the beef from the pan and set it aside.
  3. Sauté Garlic and Ginger
In the same pan, add the minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté them for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add Vegetables
Toss in the sliced bell pepper and broccoli florets. Cook these until they are tender-crisp, which should take about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Incorporate Pineapple and Sauce
Stir in the 2 cups of pineapple chunks, 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, and 2 tablespoons of honey. Let them cook together for 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  6. Combine with Beef
Return the cooked beef strips to the pan. Mix everything well and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve
Serve the delicious stir fry over a bed of cooked rice, and enjoy your meal!
