Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups frozen broccoli florets, thawed and finely chopped
- 1 carton (8 ounces) spreadable chive and onion cream cheese
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- 1/4 pound thinly sliced deli ham, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh mushrooms
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 package (17.3 ounces) frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 2 large eggs, beaten
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling: In a large bowl, combine the finely chopped broccoli, chive and onion cream cheese, shredded Swiss cheese, chopped deli ham, chopped mushrooms, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Prepare the Puff Pastry: On a lightly floured surface, unfold the thawed puff pastry sheets. Roll each sheet into a 12-inch square. Using a sharp knife or a pastry cutter, cut each rolled sheet into 16 equal squares.
- Fill the Pastry: Place a heaping tablespoonful of the broccoli mixture in the center of each square.
- Seal the Puffs: Brush the edges of each pastry square with the beaten eggs. Bring opposite corners over the filling and pinch the seams to seal the puffs.
- Bake the Puffs: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Place the sealed puffs on ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the puffs are golden brown.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and serve warm for the best taste and texture.
