Grilled Mac and Cheese recipe

  • 2 cups cooked macaroni
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 slices of bread
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: sliced tomatoes or cooked bacon bits

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cheese Sauce:

    • In a pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
    • Add the cooked macaroni to the pot and stir in the milk and shredded cheddar cheese.
    • Continue stirring until the cheese has melted and the mixture is creamy.
    • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  2. Assemble the Sandwiches:

    • Spread a generous amount of the mac and cheese mixture onto two slices of bread.
    • If desired, add sliced tomatoes or cooked bacon bits for extra flavor.
    • Top with the remaining slices of bread to form sandwiches.

  3. Grill the Sandwiches:

    • Heat a skillet over medium heat.
    • Place the sandwiches in the skillet and grill each side for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  4. Serve:

    • Remove the sandwiches from the skillet and let them cool slightly before serving.
