Ingredients
Scale
- 200g udon noodles
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp chili paste (adjust to taste)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook Udon Noodles:
Start by cooking the udon noodles according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain the noodles and set them aside. This ensures they are ready to absorb all the delicious flavors from the stir fry. - Prepare the Skillet:
Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. The oil should be hot enough to shimmer but not smoke. - Sauté Aromatics:
Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until they become fragrant, releasing their aromatic oils. - Add Vegetables:
Toss in the sliced red bell pepper, julienned carrot, and broccoli florets. Stir-fry these vegetables for approximately 5 minutes, or until they are tender yet still crisp to the bite. - Combine Noodles and Sauce:
Introduce the cooked udon noodles to the skillet. Pour in the soy sauce and chili paste, adjusting the chili paste to your preferred level of spiciness. Stir well to ensure the noodles and vegetables are evenly coated with the sauce. Continue to stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes. - Final Touches:
Before serving, top the stir fry with chopped green onions. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the dish for added texture and flavor.
