Ingredients
Scale
Quick Homemade Dough
- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour plus extra for kneading
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon instant yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup warm water (110-115°F)
Pizza Toppings
- 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ⅔ cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese
- 5 oz turkey pepperoni
- ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
1. Make the Dough
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Mix well to ensure even distribution.
- Add Wet Ingredients: Pour in the olive oil and warm water. Stir until the mixture forms a shaggy ball.
- Knead the Dough:
- If using a stand mixer, attach the dough hook and mix for about 3 minutes. Alternatively, if you’re kneading by hand, transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for approximately 5 minutes.
- Let it Rise: Cover the dough with a clean towel and let it rise for 15 minutes. This will give it a fluffy, airy texture.
2. Prepare the Pizza
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 450°F (232°C) and allow it to preheat while you assemble your pizza.
- Grease the Pan: Generously grease an 18×13-inch sheet pan with 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
- Stretch the Dough: Transfer the dough to the prepared pan and stretch it out until it’s about ⅛ inch thick. Make sure it covers the entire pan evenly.
- Add the Sauce and Toppings:
- Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
- Arrange the turkey pepperoni slices on top of the cheese.
3. Bake
- Bake in the Oven: Place the sheet pan in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the pizza to cool for about 5 minutes. Sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese, slice, and serve.
