Quick Homemade Dough

Pizza Toppings

  • 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ⅔ cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 5 oz turkey pepperoni
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

1. Make the Dough

  1. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Mix well to ensure even distribution.
  2. Add Wet Ingredients: Pour in the olive oil and warm water. Stir until the mixture forms a shaggy ball.
  3. Knead the Dough:

    • If using a stand mixer, attach the dough hook and mix for about 3 minutes. Alternatively, if you’re kneading by hand, transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for approximately 5 minutes.

  4. Let it Rise: Cover the dough with a clean towel and let it rise for 15 minutes. This will give it a fluffy, airy texture.

2. Prepare the Pizza

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 450°F (232°C) and allow it to preheat while you assemble your pizza.
  2. Grease the Pan: Generously grease an 18×13-inch sheet pan with 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
  3. Stretch the Dough: Transfer the dough to the prepared pan and stretch it out until it’s about ⅛ inch thick. Make sure it covers the entire pan evenly.
  4. Add the Sauce and Toppings:

    • Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough.
    • Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
    • Arrange the turkey pepperoni slices on top of the cheese.

3. Bake

  1. Bake in the Oven: Place the sheet pan in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
  2. Cool and Serve: Allow the pizza to cool for about 5 minutes. Sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese, slice, and serve.
