Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box brownie mix
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup cherry pie filling
- Optional: powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan to prevent sticking. - Prepare Brownie Layer:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix, vegetable oil, and 2 eggs. Stir until the ingredients are well combined and smooth. Pour half of this mixture into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly across the bottom. - Create Cheesecake Layer:
In a separate bowl, blend the softened cream cheese with sugar and vanilla extract. Mix until the cheesecake layer is smooth and creamy. Gently spread this over the brownie layer in the pan. - Top with Remaining Brownie Mix:
Spoon the remaining brownie mixture over the cheesecake layer. Try to cover as much of the cheesecake as possible for an even top layer. - Add Cherry Pie Filling:
Dollop the cherry pie filling over the top of the brownie mixture. Use a knife to gently swirl the layers together, creating a marbled effect. - Bake to Perfection:
Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes. The brownies are done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean. Allow them to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
