  • Author: Sophia

Ingredients

Scale

  • 2 leeks (white and light green parts only)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Leeks:

    • Slice the leeks in half lengthwise.
    • Rinse thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt or grit that may be trapped between the layers.
    • Cut the cleaned leeks into bite-sized pieces.

  2. Heat the Pan:

    • In a large pan, add the olive oil and butter.
    • Heat over medium heat until the butter is fully melted and the mixture is hot.

  3. Sauté the Leeks:

    • Add the leeks to the pan.
    • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
    • Sauté for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the leeks are soft and slightly caramelized.

  4. Garnish and Serve:

    • If desired, garnish with chopped parsley for a fresh pop of color and flavor.
    • Serve the leeks warm and enjoy!
