Instructions
- Prepare the Leeks:
- Slice the leeks in half lengthwise.
- Rinse thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt or grit that may be trapped between the layers.
- Cut the cleaned leeks into bite-sized pieces.
- Heat the Pan:
- In a large pan, add the olive oil and butter.
- Heat over medium heat until the butter is fully melted and the mixture is hot.
- Sauté the Leeks:
- Add the leeks to the pan.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Sauté for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the leeks are soft and slightly caramelized.
- Garnish and Serve:
- If desired, garnish with chopped parsley for a fresh pop of color and flavor.
