Step 1: Crush the Oreo Cookies

    1. Transfer to a bowl: Transfer the finely crushed Oreo crumbs to a large mixing bowl.

Step 2: Make the Truffle Filling

    1. Add softened cream cheese: Add the softened cream cheese to the bowl with the crushed Oreo crumbs.

    1. Mix until combined: Use a spatula or your hands to thoroughly mix the cream cheese and Oreo crumbs together until they are completely combined and form a smooth, dough-like mixture. You want to ensure there are no streaks of cream cheese visible and the mixture is evenly incorporated. The mixture should be moist enough to easily roll into balls.

Alternatively, you can melt the candy melts in a double boiler or a heatproof bowl set over a saucepan of simmering water, stirring constantly until melted and smooth.

    1. Keep melted: Keep the melted candy melts warm while you are dipping the truffles. If they start to thicken, you can microwave them again in short intervals or gently reheat them over the double boiler.

Step 4: Dip and Decorate the Truffles

    1. Prepare dipping station: Set up your dipping station with the bowls of melted candy melts, the chilled truffle balls, a fork or dipping tool, and a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or wax paper for placing the dipped truffles. Have your sprinkles ready and easily accessible.
